Because it takes R100,000 to train just one guide dog, fund raising is understandably an important aspect of the work done by the South African Guide Dog Association. At the recent World Sight Gala Dinner held at Kelvin Grove in Cape Town, the charity raised a whopping R800,000 – double their target! The dogs will go on to become ‘second eyes’ to the visually impaired, enabling them to be self-sufficient and live with dignity.

The ballroom at Kelvin Grove was the perfect venue for this worthwhile event and The Events Draping Co. was very happy to be involved. The team draped the walls and the stage in white fabric, with warm fairy lights adding brightness and a spirit of celebration.
